I like to doodle, make some small paintings, whenever my head is full with thoughts. They're not always the usual animals I paint, but I like to experiment with for example watercolour painting techniques, landscapes and so on. They usually turn out to be cute little postcards that just "hang around" at my art table.
At least.... that's what they did until I found the Art Abandonment Group.
Art Abandonment is all about leaving little pieces of art behind for others to find. You simply leave your art behind in random public places, with a little note attached explaining that the piece of art is a gift for whomever finds it and your contact info so that the finder may contact the artist to let them know where the piece of art ended up.
I simply love this idea, just imagine that maybe you can put a smile on somebody's face with one of your doodles! I know I would smile if I was so lucky to find a small piece of art just for free.
So, now my doodles are officially no longer just doodles, they are small pieces of art to abandon!
I decided to start with the ones shown on the picture below, one of them got abandoned today! Yikes! It's actually kind of exciting to sneak your small piece of art in to a public place without people seeing you! I really hope this painting will make somebody happy!
